Types of Coatings Against Graffiti

The anti-graffiti coating is a type of coating that is applied to the top of a pre-existing paint or the facade of a building. This anti-graffiti coating prevents graffiti paint from sticking to the wall surface. This saves a lot of money for home builders as graffiti removal costs thousands of dollars each year.

Even though there are many anti-graffiti firms that are experts in graffiti removal around the world, vandalism is still a major problem. Around the world, companies are trying to find solutions to develop anti-graffiti coatings to protect buildings that have been destroyed by graffiti.

Types of Coatings Against Graffiti

The following are the types of anti-graffiti coatings:

Cover of the victim:

This type of anti-graffiti coating forms a kind of barrier on the wall or applied surface, protecting it from graffiti vandalism. If a wall or surface is affected by streaks, this sacrificial layer is, as the name implies, removed with a pressure washer.

Half layer offering:

Half-victim coatings are almost similar to sacrificial linings, they act as a protective shield for the wall or surface being applied, meaning the pores on the surface are well protected. If the surface is damaged by scratches, this anti-scratch coating can be removed using a combination of a solvent that will remove the streak and a pressure washer.

Permanent layer:

Permanent anti-graphite coatings are the most expensive type of coating. However, they only need to be applied once if used immediately. This permanent coating forms a kind of protective surface that ensures the spray paint doesn't stick to it.
